Released in June of 2010, the first Bill Murray - Peter Venkman gave fans a unique offering. Modeled after Venkman's first ill fated encounter with the green spud, This figure is sports a slimed covered uniform and gear, gloves and a special head sculpt featuring matted down "slimed" hair.

Truly an interesting choice for the first Venkman release. Packaged with Dr. V is Slimer. This version of the spud features a different sculpt than the one packaged with the SDCC Egon, with Slimer sticking his tongue out.

Sold exclusively from mattycollector.com, this figure sold out very quickly and is no longer available.
Released in November of 2010, this is the second Peter Venkman figure released from mattycollector.com. This figure completed clean uniform figure releases from the first film and finally gave fans the ultimate Bill Murray - Peter Venkman figure they've been waiting for.

Using the same body sculpt as the Slimed Venkman release , this new version sported a new, unslimed uniform complete with untucked pant legs, gloves, and the new unslimed Venkman head. The sculpting on the head is a pretty accurate representation of Bill Murray complete with the famous "Murray" hairline.
This release also saw a first for pack-in accessories: A removable blast stream that attaches to the end of the gun and a flat pegged stand in the shape of the GB logo for Dr. Venkman to stand on.

This figure is no longer available from mattycollector.com
Released during the holiday season of 2010, This version of Peter Venkman was part of the Ghostbusters 2 4 pack released by Mattel and sold exclusively in Toys R Us Stores.

Using the same body sculpt as the Clean uniform GB 1 Venkman release , this new version sported the dark gray uniform with GB 2 arm logo, Lifegard on his belt and a removable Santa hat. What's unique about this particular release is the skin tone on all 4 figures is darker, giving the figures "a tan" when compared to the GB 1 versions. It's been speculated that the dark skin tone was to keep the skin from looking washed out against the dark gray hue of the uniform.

Sold in Toys R Us stores around the country. Some versions of the 4 pack have hats already on and some have the hats packaged at the figures feet. The placement of the hat in the package does not effect the availability of the 4 pack.
The Mattel GB line for 2011 started with another variant of good old Dr. V. This time we were treated to Venkman in his business suit from the classic courtroom sequence in Ghostbusters 2.
The head sculpt is the same as the clean uniform Venkman released a few months earlier. His suit is black with the red patterned tie and his proton pack completes the figure.

This release was highly anticipated due to his pack in accessory: Nunzio Scolari. However fans soon realized that Nunzio, while decently detailed, was out of scale with Venkman.

This figure was the first release for the Club Ecto-1 subscription and has since sold out.
