I have just updated the Forum Software and it gave us a few new features. Some you will never see/use, and some I hope you never have to use. Here they are..
New CAPTCHA
We now use "Re-Captcha" for authenticating new users. It is the one you see on a lot of sites now that actually asks you for two words and gives you the ability to refresh and have the word read to you. Hopefully this will cut down / eliminate all Spammers (you guys don't see Spammers, but the moderators do).
RSS Atom Feeds
The forum now has RSS feeds on just about every page. You can now send your feeds to your favorite RSS readers and get notified on things outside of GBFans. I so far have not thought of any interesting implimentations of having this feature.. can you?
Quick Reply
You can now Quick Reply to a topic. Give it a try.. scroll down to the bottom of this page and see the quick reply box. Type in a message and click post. It is that easy. Hopefully it leads to more posting without people posting random and small responses.
Report Private Messages
This one is important if you have encountered any kind of PM spam or harassement. Simply click the Report Icon (the exclaimation mark
) in the Private Message and it will be sent to the Moderators section of the site. We will then be able to take appropriate action.
