MattyCollector.com has just posted details about the release of the Ghostbusters Ghost Trap as well as some disappointed news about the Ghostbusters line.
First up. You all wanted to know it. The Ghost Trap will be released on October 17th, on
MattyCollector.com. It will be part of a Ghostbusters Halloween sale that will include re-releases of Ghostbusters action figures, including the SDCC Stay Puft Marshmallow Man! The sale will run from October 17th through October 31st, but from past experience assume things will sell out FAST.
Now unfortunately the announcement also indicates that Club Ecto-1 2012 has been canceled. There was not enough interest in the subscription service to allow for it to continue. The figures (including the exclusive figure) will still be available next year, and the line is not finished. However, again unfortunately the costs for the 6" figures will increase from $20 to $22 due to manufacturing cost increases.
Club Ecto-1 2011 will continue for the rest of the year. Those who purchased a Club Ecto-1 2012 subscription will have their fees refunded in the next week.
