Season 7 was a short run of only four episodes. The show still aired under the on-screen title "Slimer! and The Real Ghostbusters," now cut down to a half-hour block carrying a single Real Ghostbusters story. The series was initially changed to a half-hour format with one Real Ghostbusters episode per episode. However, like Season 6, the title of the show and intro was still "Slimer! and The Real Ghostbusters". Interestingly, towards the midway point in the season, ABC canceled other shows and the Real Ghostbusters moved back to the 9/10 slot with a full hour show to end the run.
Dave Coulier had taken over as the voice of Peter Venkman by this point, with Maurice LaMarche as Egon Spengler, Frank Welker as Ray Stantz and Slimer, Buster Jones as Winston Zeddemore, and Kath Soucie as Janine Melnitz.
