Season 3 of The Real Ghostbusters marked a serious change in the direction of the series. The episodes collected here began airing in the fall of 1987, starting with Baby Spookums on September 12, 1987.
In early 1988 the show moved to an hour-long format, and the Season 1 episodes were rerun alongside the new run. For those rebroadcasts the original voices of Lorenzo Music as Peter Venkman and Laura Summer as Janine Melnitz were removed and redubbed by Dave Coulier and Kath Soucie, the actors who had taken over those roles.
The Season 3 voice cast was Dave Coulier as Peter Venkman, Maurice LaMarche as Egon Spengler, Frank Welker as Ray Stantz and Slimer, Arsenio Hall as Winston Zeddemore, and Kath Soucie as Janine Melnitz.
