Atari announced today the follow up to the original
Ghostbusters: The Video Game released in 2009. The sequel entitled "Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime" will be a much simpler arcade styled video game featuring a top down style of game play. While the video game won't feature the voice talents of the original Ghostbusters, we suspect to keep costs down, it should be a fun continuation of the original game focusing on co-op and multi player. Atari and developer Wanako have definitely listened to some of the criticisms from the first game, for example you get to drive
an Ecto. That Ecto being the new "Ecto-4WD" a stylized utilitarian vehicle that the Ghostbusters ride on the back of. The Ecto-4WD being another cost saving measure to save money on licensing the Ecto-1 from Cadillac.
The new video game will be released in Spring 2011 on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC. It may only be available for download, but it should at least offer multi player Ghostbusters game play on PC for the first time.
